Power generation by vibration of electrical toothbrush

The harvester, miniature unimorph type, is fixed on electrical toothbrush and subjected to vibration of 1mm amplitude and 200Hz. It can light 24 1W power blue LEDs. The device does not break at resonant vibration with large amplitude.

Power generation by pushing bottom

The harvester was combined with switching mechanism using plate with permanent magnet. It can generate electricity under free vibration triggered by pushing bottom. Electric energy of 0.5mJ can be extracted by one shot of pushing bottom (light 400LEDs in demo). It will be applicable for battery-free remote controller.

Wireless sensor system

Prototype of battery-free wireless sensor system was fabricated. Left is transmitter and right is receiver. The electricity generated by the harvester using vibration of electrical toothbrush is used to send information of illuminometer by wireless with interval of 5-10 seconds.

Power generation floor

Floor equipped with the harvester can generate electricity by stepping. The harvester of large size was used and will generate power of the order of Watt.
